Role Summary
The Business Analyst works in collaboration with the Product Manager ensuring delivery expectations are realistic and product changes are communicated in a timely manner. The key component of this role is to be an integrator and facilitator for the development squad building plugin & integration products within the subsurface applications portfolio. The Business Analyst will also take on the activity set of the Scrum Master, by promoting self-organization in teams, removing impediments, and will be a key individual who the development team regularly turns to for advice and support.
Role Responsibilities
Co-ordinate activities for backlog development/refinement and execution with the Product Manager and development squad(s)
Support the development and execution of product release plans
Support the development of User Adoption and Objective & Key Results (OKRs) analytics using Power BI and App Insights dashboards to monitor and track product releases, sustained adoption, and value realization
Ensure operational integrity of the product(s)
Actively work with the development squad and product owner to bridge gaps and address potential bottlenecks and risks
Identifying and removing impediments & blockers (taking on the Scrum Master role)
Facilitating sprint ceremonies enabling teams to deliver benefit by upholding Agile principles and values.
Supporting the Product Manager in delivering their Product aspirations/goal in a timely and efficient manner
Demonstrating continuous improvement of the team and its individual members and highlighting where strengthening and change is required.
Focusing on working within the team to ensure flow is improved and lead times are reduced at every stage of the development process
Required Skills
Strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Previous experience as a Business Analyst (BA) / Product Owner or Scrum Master with knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Agile Delivery Capability: on experience in Agile environments, in software development
Proficient in project management software: Where possible experience in some of these tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, Kanban, Microsoft or Google Office tools
Advantage, experienced/certified Scrum Master professional, with an understanding of BA best practices and methodology
Industry Experience: in Software Development or Business Transformation projects delivering change through technology
Ability to lead and coach others and work cross-functionally within an organization
Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management
Understanding and experience within the full software development lifecycle
Proven experience in the successful delivery of digital products, end to end
Familiarity working within a highly matrixed organization
