Key Accountabilities:
- Developing and maintaining GIS processes, solutions, and documentation for client.
- Setting the strategy and direction for GIS data.
- Maintaining technological and industry developments and applying these to the strategic advancement of the client’s Geospatial Platform.
- Working across the client business to use GIS data to improve internal processes and products.
- Providing technical analysis and advice to support the strategic direction of the Geospatial Domain in the use of GIS data and products.
- Managing GIS data, enhancing the data collection, maintenance, and management processes.
- Working collaboratively with various client teams and contractors to execute projects, retain expertise and learn to share across the group.
- Evaluating, investigating and developing new ideas on GIS processing for promotion within client.
Experience handling weather data
- Familiarity with forecast ensemble models and developing derivate map and graph products from them.
- Apply geospatial and weather analytical expertise to a range of applications, including renewable energy site screening and monitoring, production and operations, and trading and shipping.
- Application of historical and forecast datasets in predictive modeling and representing the results in a geographic focus for additional insights.

- Experience in planning and delivering elements of projects.
- Advanced capability with GIS software packages (e.g. ArcGIS) and understanding of GIS systems.
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning, neural networks, and ensemble learning techniques
- Proficiency in JavaScript and one or more high-level programming languages such as Python, R, C++, C#, or MATLAB
- Experience engaging collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of planning and delivering elements of projects expertise in raster and vector data processing workflows;
- Desired to have familiarity with parallel, distributed, or other high-performance computing platforms such as AWS; experience in the use of geodatabase management systems and databases (e.g., ArcGIS, SQL, MySQL, PostGIS, PostgreSQL)
