Location: Mostly remote (Visit Hamburg approx. once/month - expenses paid by client)
Duration: 6+ Months


Role Summary:

This role combines competencies in managing people, processes, information objects, and systems, ideally at the senior (´mastery´) level, to lead the change.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Train staff within the DM&IM department on processes and methodologies
  • IM professional with 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Solid understanding of the E&P asset life cycle
  • Knowledge of how to deploy digital IM technologies.
  • Draft and implement a comprehensive IM strategy across all headquarter departments and operating assets of the Business Unit in Germany
  • Lead and execute the required change of embedding a professional IM for some 400 employees, including the IM governance and compliance services, and establishing competent support enabling user self-service.
  • Run and sustain the BU´s IM services as part of the BU´s DM&IM department, including IM improvement projects against set business priority goals
  • Create tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, shared drives, One Drive as well as the BU´s Enterprise Content (i.e., Document) Management system work for its users (such that they can search, find, access, share, store, retain, comply, and customize IM workflows like approvals, etc.)
  • Train staff within the DM&IM department on processes and methodologies
Role Requirements:

  • Experience generating business value through effective IM in support of business processes.
  • Understanding of how to set-set up and run quality management and process governance.
  • Experience in functional and disciplinary leadership as well as project management
  • Expertise in coaching, leading, and QC'ing of the work of junior IM staff and contractors in IM.
  • Leading at eye level, building trust, developing talent, inspiring, and fun to work with
  • Governance- and client-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with leadership, technical and non-technical staff
  • Good communication skills - capable of expressing complex concepts effectively.
Desirable Skills:

  • Fluent in English or German
  • MSc degree in Data & Information Management or a relevant E&P discipline
