Role Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to work on our client’s digital content platform. You will directly contribute to the success of the platform by understanding the needs of our customers, exploring solutions, and using agile product development to deliver prioritized, value-add features.
Your primary focus will be the product roadmap and developing our main content management system, Adobe AEM.
You will get stuck into all aspects of product development including understanding our customer experience, liaising with global stakeholders to gather user stories and acceptance criteria, creating, and prioritizing the backlog, and working with cross-functional product delivery teams to build best-in-class solutions.
You will also contribute to the long-term vision for the platform, bringing new ideas and spotting opportunities for innovation, to ensure that our digital tools remain relevant and in support of the client’s strategic agenda.
Measurement is critical and you will help to establish and track the right metrics to ensure we are always monitoring our performance and focused upon delivering value.
You will also support the safe and secure running of the platform, find the opportunity for continuous improvement, and maintain high-quality standards through governance and risk management.
The client’s digital content platform provides solutions for external permanent and campaign websites, applications, video hosting, email marketing, analytics, and optimization.
As part of the Product Development team, you will collaborate with the senior product manager, business managers, business owners, suppliers, partners, and teams across the company in multiple locations.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new requirements and understand their business value and drivers in order to help plan and priorities.
  • Be passionate about the customer experience, building solutions that help to meet our audience's needs.
  • Interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, help them to understand our methods and processes, keep them informed of progress and actively seek their feedback.
  • Translate business requirements and digital product features into well-written and detailed user stories, with clear acceptance criteria to enable effective delivery.
  • Maintain the product backlog and define delivery goals for the product development team so that goals can be set, and progress tracked.
  • Collaborate to drive delivery across the whole team, introducing measurement and quality metrics
  • Assess solutions and accept or reject developed user stories on behalf of your customers.
  • Manage risks and issues, collaborating with the team to find resolution or escalating where necessary.
  • Build relationships, drive performance, and motivate teams to deliver against the product vision.
  • Work with other team specialists to shape and implement the platform roadmap, contributing your input on the roadmap and vision.
  • Champion the use of the platform, provide transparency on our development processes, regularly report on progress, and help increase the level of understanding of the team and platform across the company.
  • Be comfortable working as part of a global team, with multiple suppliers, in multiple locations
  • Be an excellent facilitator and be comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team on strategy and innovation, contributing ideas to grow the platform.
  • Backlog refinement and prioritization (in ADO).
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Set sprint goals.
  • Lead sprint reviews.
  • Lead the development team.
  • Write acceptance tests.
  • Plan releases and upgrades.
  • Follow the progress of work and work with squad members to address production issues during sprints.
  • Analyze preferences and requests of end-users.
  • Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback.
  • Keep track of industry trends.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role as an Agile Product Owner and/or Business Analyst working with an Enterprise Web CMS.
  • Proven product management experience developing software and digital products (in-life and new product development), particularly of Agile product lifecycle management.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience.
  • Proven experience in creating new product concepts including prototyping and building investment cases underpinned by analytics and data.
  • Good facilitation skills to balance the needs of the different customers with the short and long-term platform roadmap.
  • A good understanding of technical standards and developing best practices.
  • Proven skills with a variety of software, including content management systems, Google Analytics, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft O365 & Azure Dev Ops tools.

  • Professional Scrum Product Ownership (PSPO) certification
