Role Summary:

As a result of a new initiative our client is undertaking in the Wells Real-Time Drilling data space, we have a need for a Digital Security Lead. The role will involve someone to be an advocate for the team in engagements with the client’s digital security group and support the successful implementation of their Real Time Drilling Data platform.

Role Responsibilities:

  • SPA for managing digital risk on the team’s behalf
  • Lead the client team’s engagement with the corporate digital security group
  • Be an expert on data networks, 3-tier network segregation, and related corporate group standards
  • Seek out security optimization opportunities across the portfolio.

Required Skills:

  • Being an adaptable, self-motivated learner with a willingness to take ownership of development and service support activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes a collaborative approach to work and works well in multi-disciplined teams.
  • Good knowledge of Cyber Security principles, e.g. vulnerability management, secure design, endpoint protection, secure development (code scanning), cloud security, etc…
  • Experience in the design of Process Control Network architectures (DCS, ICSS, SCADA)
  • Experience in the application of Process Control Network-related security standards or practices (ISA/IEC62443, NIST800 series, etc.)
  • Experience in risk assessment and gap analysis
  • Experience in oil and gas projects
  • Experience in network security monitoring solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with AWS & Azure
  • Knowledge of DevOps systems like Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Jenkins
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Exemplary written and oral communications skills
  • Delivery-focused mentality & strong business acumen

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in working within the remote drilling ops environment
  • Experienced/certified Agile/Scrum professional with an understanding of Cyber Security best practices and methodology
  • Agile Delivery Capability: experience in Agile environments, in software development
  • Industry Experience: in Software Development or Business Transformation projects, delivering change through technology
  • Experience of the full software development lifecycle
