  • Run the operational side of architecture across Digital Core, ensuring decisions, artefacts, and reporting are delivered, traceable, and communicated across all technology domains (Digital Core, Digital Delivery, Digital Security).
  • Operate the governance cadence, manage artefacts, i.e. standards, tech debt register, standards repositories, and maintain visibility of execution and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the architecture operating process, including ARB, KDD, simplification governance cycle, etc., ensuring actions, outcomes, and dependencies are tracked and visible.
  • Coordinate inputs from architects and portfolio teams; ensure decisions and artefacts are current, version-controlled, and accessible across domains.
  • Track delivery against architectural commitments, surface slippage or non-compliance, and coordinate with programmes to drive remediation.
  • Communicate decisions/artefacts, and other relevant information between Digital Core, Digital Delivery, and Digital Security, ensuring that architecture decisions, guardrails, and exceptions are shared and understood.
  • Maintain an architecture artefact library and relevant patterns, guardrails, reference architectures, decision logs, and compliance evidence, ensuring they remain accurate, current, and traceable, including the TRM.
  • Collaborate with the Design Governance & M&A Lead to ensure that ARB and KDD reviews are scheduled, documented, and recorded, with complete evidence of decisions, exceptions, and rationale.
  • Maintain authoritative data and dashboards in collaboration with appsim, DSOW, performance management, procurement and other teams on outcomes inc. simplification progress, lifecycle actions, cost/risk metrics, M&A architecture milestones, etc. and provide quarterly reporting for review and support of various performance reviews across technology.
  • Support planning and investment cycles by providing consolidated architecture evidence (dependencies, sequencing, progress against roadmap).
  • Outcome: Predictable, transparent, and well-governed architecture execution ensuring that all decisions, artefacts, and standards are traceable and communicated across domains.
  • A consistent evidence base for governance, planning, and audit for the digital core to demonstrate control, compliance, and delivery progress.
