Role Overview:
We seek a Data Platform Lead to drive delivery and technical leadership across multiple data engineering initiatives within the Cybersecurity Functional Area.
This role integrates team leadership, architecture governance, and stakeholder engagement to deliver secure, compliant, scalable Azure-based data platforms.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage people and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor engineering teams in the delivery of secure, compliant data platforms.
• Define and enforce security-first best practices, coding standards, and reusable patterns.
• Manage delivery timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations.
• Guide architectural decisions to ensure secure data handling and platform scalability. Ensure alignment with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Promote continuous improvement, automation, and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee secure architecture design, including IAM, RBAC, and encryption.
• Facilitate effective communication across technical and business stakeholders.
• Drive the integration of real-time security event and telemetry data pipelines.
Key Technologies:
• Programming: C, C#, .NET, Python, SCALA
• Azure: Databricks, ADF, Event Hub, Event Grid, ADLS, ADX, Data Explorer, App Services, Fluentd, real-time event processing
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience with proven leadership in delivery teams.
• Deep Azure expertise focusing on data security: encryption, access control, governance.
• Experience managing high-volume, high-velocity real-time pipelines.
• Proven secure cloud architecture knowledge. Agile leadership experience and stakeholder management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with cybersecurity-relevant data: security logs, SIEM integrations, OT telemetry.
• Preferred Certifications: Azure Data Engineer / Architect; Azure Security Engineer Associate.
