E&P Announces New Consulting Hub in Norway

Following new contracts and recent expansion into the renewables sector, E&P Consulting, a global provider of digital domain expertise for energy industry companies, has announced a new hub in Norway.

E&P’s expansion into the Norwegian energy services market follows the successful opening of a hub in India, which is currently headed up by senior recruiter, Rajeev Agarwal. As part of E&P’s global growth plans, the hubs in these new locations are anticipated to enable greater flexibility and simplicity in commercial agreements with local resources and clients’ local entities. The hubs will also increase access to wider talent pools locally, further strengthening E&P’s ability to identify hard-to-find skills for complex digital energy industry projects.

E&P has extensive experience in providing capabilities and expertise for oil and gas majors to support digital transformation projects at a global scale. In 2021, the energy consulting firm evolved to provide digital domain expertise across the full spectrum of the wider energy and renewables sector. This includes digital consulting expertise in the offshore wind power, carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen sectors.

Commenting on the new consulting hubs in Norway and India, Head of Commercial and Finance at E&P, Gerard Lyons, said: “We have seen rapid growth across our business in the last 18-months, which coincided with our expansion into the renewables sector. Establishing hubs within these new global locations represents clear commitments to European and Asian geomarkets and our growing client base. Our skilled consultant pool has also seen growth in line with extended contracts with our existing clients, Shell and bp, as well as new contracts with companies such as Ørsted.”

At the close of E&P’s 2022/23 financial year in June, the energy consulting firm reported a 50% increase in turnover, marking three consecutive years of growth across E&P’s global business. To support this continued growth, E&P’s team headcount has also increased with new senior hires in both the UK and Houston offices.

Most recently, E&P’s Houston team confirmed the appointment of Wilson Rincon as Operations Lead. Wilson will be responsible for overseeing E&P’s global operations to drive continuous growth for the digital domain consulting business across all office and hub locations.

Established in 2011 and headquartered in London, E&P has since opened hubs in Aberdeen, Houston, India, and most recently, Norway. The new hub in Norway, which is located in Oslo, is now open and will be headed up by E&P’s Data Services Lead, Tina Roberts.
